Micro-needling

Fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, pigment spots, enlarged pores, sun damage.

Using very fine needles to cause light damage to the dermis, micro-needling stimulates cell division and the production of collagen and elastin for a stronger, more supple, smoother and thicker skin.

At Hundepool Clinic, we use CIT (collagen induction therapy). A method which with help from the Enterpen, vibrating microscopically small holes are made in the skin. This frees up the skins’ growth to stimulate the production of collagen and elastic (connective tissue). Various other products can be used to enhance the effect. Enterpen is a new form of medical micro-needling and is great for strengthening and renewing the skin.

Results of Enterpen
  • Smoother skin
  • Radiant, fresh and even coloured skin
  • Refinement of enlarged pores
  • Reduction of fine lines
  • Improvement of skin structure
  • Reduction of acne scars
  • Smoothing of operative and/or trauma scars.

Treatment
The treatment may feel slightly uncomfortable. The treatment lasts on average 20-30 minutes.

After the treatment
Depending on the area treated and the intensity of the treatment, the skin will look redder and feel warm/irritated. This feeling will disappear a few hours after the treatment and the redness can remain for a few days. A very light crust can form within a few days after the treatment. The crusts fall off themselves after 1 to 2 weeks and a newly formed skin appears.

You can clean the skin with a cleanser 4 hours after the treatment. We advise you not to wax or pluck the treated area during the course of the treatment. Avoid hot showers, sauna, swimming and bathing during the first 24 hours after the treatment. Protect the area against the sun until 4 weeks after the treatment with a minimum protection factor of 30.

When can I see the effect and how long does it stay visible for?
The production process of elastin and collagen takes time. The first visible skin improvement will be visible after an average of 2-4 weeks. The improvement process in the skin can stay for up to 6 months. For an optimal result, more treatments can be necessary with an internal of 2-6 weeks.
